Following are the different Development Models offered by IDS Infotech Limited:

Onsite Development Model:

IDS will provide highly-qualified, personable consultants to work in concert with client team members, at the client's physical location. Onsite consultants can be directed and/or monitored by client managers.

Requirements of Onsite model:

  • the assignment is repetitive and/or open-ended
  • there are fluid requirements
  • the project is short-term or small scale
  • the project is highly confidential or proprietary
  • the client wants a high degree of control of the development process
  • infrastructure requirements dictate at least partial onsite delivery

Advantages of Onsite Delivery Model:

NearShore /Offshore model

IDS will provide highly-qualified consultants and the location and infrastructure to support their activities. Consultants can work remotely in concert with client team members, or largely independently on particular project or phase. The work location is in the geographic vicinity of the client's facilities.

Requirements of NearShore/ Offshore model:

  • there are fluid requirements
  • the project is not stand-alone/integration considerations are moderately complex
  • the client wants significant participation in the development process
  • client site infrastructure or space limitations dictate offsite delivery

  • Highly responsive to change
  • Effective communication and understanding
  • Effective coordination of client and IDS resources

  Hybrid Global Sourcing Development Model:

Each of the options, Onsite, NearShore and Offshore, offers different merits and fit different scenarios. In many cases, IT project plans can be optimized by utilizing IDS resources in a combination of delivery models. Placing the right IDS project and account managers, team-leads, and technical resources at the right locations provides the client the desired combination of control, delivery time, internal resource utilization, access to infrastructure, and favorable cost.

Requirements of Hybrid model:

  • the project is long-term or large scale and complex
  • large portions of the project can be defined with precise, stable requirements
  • the project is a software development outsourcing project
